Use of enhanced colorization is controlled by the c_cpp.enhancedcolorization setting. The syntax highlighting style provided by the extension python for vscode is different from the extension python . ( this happened after an update and my version is vs2019) you are talking about visual studio, not visual studio code like op mentioned.
